Our Story.

Ice cream has always been in our blood. Ignazio’s journey began long before Mediterranean Ices was born. His father became an ice cream man in 1980, and from the age of just 10, Ignazio was already working, selling ice cream from his dad’s van. By 17, he had bought his very first van and was selling ice cream throughout Tooting and across the boroughs of Merton and Wandsworth.

In 1999, Ignazio decided to take a leap of faith and turn his lifelong passion into something bigger. That was the moment Mediterranean Ices came to life as an ice cream manufacturer and wholesaler.

Since then, the business has continued to grow, and we are proud to have won multiple awards for our ice cream over the years. What started as a small business now supplies customers not only across London, but throughout the UK.

Today, Mediterranean Ices is also run by Ignazio’s two daughters, Catherine and Olivia, who work alongside him. In 2020, they launched Scoop Sisters, their own ice cream brand, which is manufactured and sold from Mediterranean Ices, bringing a new generation of creativity and passion into the business.

From humble beginnings to award-winning ice cream enjoyed nationwide, our story is one built on hard work and a genuine love for what we do.
